Bayport-Blue Point Library Innovations

The Bayport-Blue Point Library @bbplibrary has become one of the hottest libraries around and the first one in Suffolk County to install two Innovative/Alternative Onsite Sewage Disposal Systems. Officials recently thanked those who enabled the project including Suffolk County who awarded a $250,000 Water Quality Protection and Restoration Program and Land Stewardship Initiative grant for the $522,056 project. The project upgraded two existing sanitary systems that will reduce nitrogen discharge by approximately 247 pounds per year.
