A swarm of residents supported #Brookhaven Town officials who urged the #USArmyCorpsofEngineers to include #DavisPark and eight other communities in their plans for sand replenishment. The western areas of #FireIsland in #Islip were scheduled this fall and not Brookhaven Town communities further east, that have lost 50 feet of sand with dunes losing 6-to-8 feet.
