Savage Land at Plaza MAC 

Savage Land relates two historic massacres where hundreds of Cheyenne and Arapaho were, under orders, murdered by U.S. military at the Sand Creek Massacre as well as General Custer’s Battle of Washita and the modern day tragedy, the killing of 18-year-old Mah-hi-vist Red Bird Goodblanket of Clinton, Oklahoma. This riveting film will be shown at Plaza Cinema & Media Arts Center on Saturday, Nov. 5 with filmmaker and Plaza Cinema co-founder Campbell Dalglish. Plaza MAC will offer viewers an opportunity to discuss the film in-house with Mah-hi-vist’s parents, Melissa and Wilbur Goodblanket as well as Mah-hi-vist’s grandmother, Henrietta Mann, who is executive producer.
