A Dance for Sunset
The grounds of the beautiful Post-Morrow Foundation in Brookhaven Hamlet at 16 Bay Road (off Beaverdam Road) will be the setting for an innovative dance performance by Rashaun Mitchell and Silas Riener in the preserve. Artist and Good Morning Bellport owner Fabian Bernal curated the show and is encouraging a diverse mix of all ages to attend “A Dance for Sunset” at 6 p.m., August 27 and to interact with the dancers afterwards. Mitchell and Riener met at the Merce Cunningham Dance Company and have created over 25 multidisciplinary dance works including site-responsive installations, dance concerts, gallery performances and dances for film. Be prepared for a rare treat. The event is free. (Donations appreciated.) Read about it in a story by #LindaLeuzzi in the @liadvance
