Say arrivederci for now…
Say arrivederci for now to Jeffrey Uslip and Esther Flury of The Something Machine gallery in Bellport Village as they head to Venice soon to oversee the Diplomazija astuta project at The Malta Pavillion, taking place at the 2022 Venice Biennale, the 59th International Art Exhibition. Uslip is co-curator, Flury is a project manager of this incredible contemporary re-imagining of Caravaggio’s 1608 painting “The Beheading of St. John the Baptist.” It is an astounding creation and the Diplomazija astuta team includes sculptor Arcangelo Sassolino, theoretic artist Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci, musician and composer Brian Schembri and project managers Flury with Nikki Petroni. The Biennale opens to the public April 23 to November 27 with installation in March. Read about this fascinating project in the @liadvance, story by #LindaLeuzzi
